Ingredients:
1/2 cup butter, softened
1 cup white sugar
2 large eggs, beaten
1 tsp vanilla extract
1 3/4 cups all-purpose flour
1 tsp baking soda
1/2 tsp salt
1/2 cup sour cream
3 large bananas, mashed
1/2 cup chopped walnuts (optional)
Instructions:
Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease and flour a 9x5-inch loaf pan.
In a large bowl, cream together the butter and sugar until light and fluffy. Stir in the beaten eggs and vanilla extract.
In a separate bowl, combine the flour, baking soda, and salt.
Gradually add the dry ingredients to the butter mixture, alternating with the sour cream and mashed bananas. Stir until just combined. Fold in the walnuts, if desired.
Pour the batter into the prepared loaf pan and smooth the top.
Bake for 60-70 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.
Let the bread cool in the pan for 10 minutes before transferring to a wire rack to cool completely.
This banana bread is rich, creamy, and so satisfying!
Enjoy a slice on its own or with a spread of butter.
