Ingredients
1 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
1 cup granulated sugar
1 tsp baking powder
1/2 tsp baking soda
1/4 tsp salt
1 cup plain yogurt
1/2 cup vegetable oil
1/2 cup milk
1 tsp vanilla extract
1 tbsp vinegar (or lemon juice)
Instructions
Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease and flour a 9-inch round cake pan.
In a large bowl, sift together the flour, sugar, baking powder, baking soda, and salt.
In another bowl, whisk together the yogurt, oil, milk, vanilla extract, and vinegar until well combined.
Gradually add the wet ingredients to the dry ingredients, mixing until just combined. Be careful not to overmix.
Pour the batter into the prepared cake pan. Tap the pan gently on the counter to remove any air bubbles. Bake for 30-35 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.
Allow the cake to cool in the pan for 10 minutes, then transfer to a wire rack to cool completely.
