Total Time: 30 minutes | Servings: 4

Ingredients

1 lb beef flank steak, thinly sliced

2 large onions, sliced

2 tablespoons soy sauce

1 tablespoon oyster sauce

1 tablespoon hoisin sauce

2 cloves garlic, minced

1 teaspoon fresh ginger, minced

1 tablespoon cornstarch

2 tablespoons vegetable oil

1 teaspoon sugar

2 tablespoons water

Green onions, chopped (for garnish)

Cooked rice, for serving

Instructions

Step 1: Marinate Beef

In a bowl, combine the sliced beef with 1 tablespoon

soy sauce, cornstarch, and a pinch of sugar. Mix well

and let it marinate for at least 10 minutes.

Step 2: Prepare Sauce

In a small bowl, mix the remaining soy sauce, oyster

sauce, hoisin sauce, water, and sugar. Set aside.

Step 3: Sauté Onions

Heat 1 tablespoon of vegetable oil in a large pan or

wok over medium-high heat. Add the sliced onions and

stir-fry until they are softened and slightly caramelized,

about 5 minutes. Remove from the pan and set aside.

Step 4: Cook Beef

Add the remaining oil to the pan. Add the marinated

beef and stir-fry until browned and cooked through,

about 3-4 minutes. Add the minced garlic and ginger,

and stir-fry for another 1 minute.

Step 5: Combine and Serve

Return the cooked onions to the pan and pour in the

prepared sauce. Stir everything together and cook for

another 2 minutes until well combined. Serve hot over

cooked rice and garnish with chopped green onions
